Local Firefighters Association Backs Sharpe for District 6
CHATTANOOGA, TN - The Chattanooga Firefighters Association, Local 820, announced its endorsement of David Sharpe for reelection to the Hamilton County Commission, District 6. The Chattanooga Firefighters Association, Local 820, is a nonprofit association that serves members and the entire Chattanooga/Hamilton County Community.
"Firefighters set the standard for public service, and I am honored to have their support," said Hamilton County Commissioner David Sharpe of District 6. "Firefighters are an integral part of our community, and their sacrifices make it possible for people across Hamilton County to live, work, and raise their families. They have my gratitude as a parent and my respect and appreciation as a Hamilton County Commissioner."
The Chattanooga Firefighters Association has more than 225 active members who support charitable organizations, local and national nonprofit groups, and candidates that represent local communities. Local 820 also participates in the annual 'Fill the Boot' fundraising campaign.
“Our top priority is increasing safety for firefighters so they can continue to safely serve our community and be there when you need us,” said Jack Thompson, the president of the Chattanooga Firefighters Association, Local 820. “We support David Sharpe because he shares these priorities and will represent our community with honesty and transparency.”
About David Sharpe: David Sharpe was elected to the Hamilton County Commission in 2018. David and his wife, Rebekah, have three kids and live in Red Bank, TN. Prior to joining the Hamilton County Commission, Sharpe, a brewer by trade, served on Chattanooga’s celebrated 21st Century Riverfront Steering Committee and co-chair of the Southern Brewers Festival, an event that has raised millions of dollars for local charities and brought thousands of visitors to Chattanooga.
